The ‘Christchurch Crown’ is a brand spanking new course set in Corsair Bay that replaces the former ‘La Grande Swim’ in Akaroa.

Set right on Christchurch’s doorstep in Lyttelton Harbour, the course has been designed to challenge and intrigue with its layout in the ‘I’m Going Long’ swim weaving swimmers in and out of some of Christchurch’s most picturesque bays.

If you are looking for a challenge to train for and conquer then look no further – the Christchurch Crown is the perfect opportunity to put yourself outside your comfort zone in a super safe and encouraging environment. Swimmers will receive the royal treatment from Surf Life Saving New Zealand whilst underway, with guards on boards and in IRBs ensuring the confidence and safety of every swimmer for every stroke of their challenge.
